IGP Deploys DIGs, AIGs

NEWLY decorated Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) and Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) have being deployed to take up command positions across the country.
 A statement from Force Headquarters Saturday by the Public Relations Officer, Emmanuel Ojukwu, stated that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Suleiman Abba “has ordered, with immediate effect, the posting of eight Deputy Inspectors General of Police (DIGs) and 28 Assistant Inspectors General of Police (AIGs) to various departments, Zonal Commands and Formations of the force”.
   The list indicates that DIGs Dan’Azumi Dogma is the second in command at the Force Headquarters; Sotonye Wakama takes over Operations; Solomon Arase now heads the Department of Criminal Investigation (CID).

   The Finance and Administration department of the Force would now be headed by Hilary Opera, while Mamman Tsafe now heads the department of Logistics and Supply; Saliu Hashim will take charge of the department of Training, Christopher Katso would now head the department of Research and Planning and David Omojola is posted to take over the department of Information and Communication Technology.
  
Meanwhile, AIGs Joseph Mbu is now in charge of Zone 7; Suleiman Mamman is the Force Secretary; Ballah Nasarawa is AIG Force Intelligence Bureau Abuja; Helen Adeyemi is deployed to be the Commandant, Police Staff College, Jos, while Adisa Bolanta is the new Commandant Police Academy Kano.
   Others are AIGs Tambari Mohammed Zone 1, Kano; Umaru Manko, Zone 2, Lagos; Mohammed Abubakar, Zone 3, Yola; Adeola Adeniji, Zone 4, Makurdi; Musa Daura, Zone 5, Benin-City; Mark Idakwo, Zone 6, Calabar; and Christopher Sega, Zone 8, Lokoja, among others.
