Known only as The Shooter the man will be unmasked in a Fox News documentary on the operation to find and kill Bin Laden, who masterminded the 9/11 terror attacks.
The two-part show – titled The Man Who Killed Osama Bin Laden – will air in November.
The documentary will provide new information about Operation Neptune Spear, the mission to find the al-Qaida leader.
Fox have revealed The Shooter will also reveal what it was like to confront Bin Laden and to be there as he took his final breath.

“And I remember as I watched him breathe out the last part of air, I thought: Is this the best thing I've ever done, or the worst thing I've ever done?”
The Shooter
Since retiring the special-forces soldier has reportedly suffered a breakdown in his marriage and was so concerned about keeping his identity secret he refused to meet families of 9/11 victims.
Speaking to Esquire last year the Seal recalled being surprised by Bin Laden's appearance.
"And I remember as I watched him breathe out the last part of air, I thought: Is this the best thing I've ever done, or the worst thing I've ever done?" he said.

Bin Laden was killed in Pakistan on May 2, 2011, during a CIA-led operation on a compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
The hunt for Bin Laden inspired the Oscar-winning film Zero Dark Thirty starring Jessica Chastain as a female CIA agent who spent years trying to locate the terrorist.
