Addressing hundreds of Imo citizens and party loyalists, who had thronged the International Convention Centre, venue of his address on the achievements of his administration in three years, Okorocha said: “If you want me to contest for governorship election, one million of you must endorse me and contribute N100 each and those who want me to contest for president, two million must endorse me and pay N100 each as your free will donation for my political cause.”
Before now, the governor had talked about consolidating his achievements by re-contesting or vying for presidency to salvage Ndigbo and the nation.
Okorocha, who listed some of his achievements in the past three years, spoke of his intention to make Imo a one-city state through the provision of linkage roads to reduce traffic congestion in the urban centres, adding that more than 1,000 verifiable projects were going on in the state.
He warned teachers in the habit of exploiting their students with illegal imposition and collection of levies to desist forthwith or be prepared to face the full weight of the law.
Okorocha promised to redesign the Onitsha Road industrial layout in Owerri, adding that he had approved money to secure the accreditation of more courses at the Imo State University in Owerri.
