Nigeria Police Says It Has Foiled A Second Car Bomb Targetted At Kano

The Nigeria Police Force on Monday announced the prevention of a bomb blast, after its men intercepted a car rigged with powerful explosives.
According to Force Public Relations Officer, Mr. Frank Mba, the vehicle was recovered at Tafawa Balewa Street, Nasarawa area of Kano State, and has since been deactivated by Police bomb disposal experts.”
“Kano police operatives acting on intelligence, tracked and recovered a Mitsubishi Station Wagon car, ash in colour with registration number Kano AE 756 GSW loaded with assorted gas cylinders, one container of fuel and other electrical components of Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs),” Mba said.
The interception occurred less than a day after a car bombing of a beer joint on Middle Road, Off Gold Coast Street in Sabon Gari area of Kano last night. At least 13 people were killed in the attack.
