Peterborough Want Aneke

Peterborough United have been linked with a move for young Arsenal striker Chuks Aneke.

Attacking talent Aneke, who has impressed at League One level while spending the last two seasons on loan at Crewe, is rumoured to be a summer target.

Aneke scored twice at London Road back in March when Posh beat Crewe 4-2. He netted 16 times in all last season.

The 20 year-old is not expected to be offered a new contract at Arsenal when his current one expires at the end of next month.

A host of Championship sides are also said to be keen on the former England youth international who was being lined up for a shock debut appearance for the Super Eagles under the dispensation of former Eagles coach, Samson Siasia who exclusively told Complete Sports he was at the time ready to meet with the youngster and his parents over his availability for the Nigerian national team.

Incidentally, Siasia was relieved of his duty as the Nigerian national team handler for failing to qualify the country's national team for the 2012 African Cup of Nations.
