Former Super Eagles captain, Sunday Oliseh, has launched a personalised mobile football news service tagged: ‘Sunday Oliseh Football On The Go’, which will be available via sms to interested subscribers on the major mobile networks in Nigeria – MTN, Airtel and Etisalat.
Oliseh’s Football On The Go will comprise breaking news, tit-bits and insightful analyses on important football tournaments, players and match officials, all delivered by Oliseh himself. Subscribers will be able to receive the messages directly on their mobile phones anytime of the day.
“I have spent the better part of my life involved with football, and I have seen it all, from a multiple award-winning playing career to coaching, FIFA World Football development and football analysis. It is this wealth of experience and my undying passion for the game that I would like to bring to bear in rendering this service to the teeming Nigerian football fans,” Oliseh said.

“Beginning with the World Cup in Brazil, Nigerian mobile phone owners who subscribe to this service will get an opportunity to get first-hand news and analyses directly from me, delivered by text messages to their mobile phones. All it takes to subscribe is to simply send xxx to 34445 for MTN subscribers, xxx to 34445 for Airtel subscribers and xxx to 34445 for Etisalat subscribers.
Oliseh had an illustrious football playing career spanning almost a decade with the Nigerian national football team, the Super Eagles.
Since retiring from the active game, he has had a great career as a TV pundit and analyst, and three years ago bagged the UEFA Pro coaching license in London.
