Super Eagles forward Ahmed Musa has declared that the underdog status the team assumed after their three pre-World Cup friendly matches was good for the team as they have already been written off even before they have set foot in Brazil.Argentina and Bosnia-Herzegovina are the favourites to emerge from Group F of the World Cup with Nigeria and Iran making up the numbers.He said the players are up to the task of representing Nigeria and the continent of Africa well in Brazil as the underdog tag will take pressure off the team.EMENIKE,MUSA and EGWUEKWE“I am happy that people are not talking about us as favourites in our group, it is a good omen for the team,” he said.“But we are professionals who know what it means and takes to play in the World Cup.“I am therefore assuring Nigerians that we are equal to the task and will represent Nigerians and Africans well in Brazil. Nigerians will see the real Super Eagles when World Cup starts.”The CSKA Moscow ace also called for support from Nigerians.“We are here to represent the nation so we expect Nigerians to be behind us and support us as we won’t let them down,” he enjoined.African champions Nigeria played three friendly games preparatory to the World Cup against Scotland, Greece and USA. They drew 2-2 and goalless with Scotland and Greece respectively and lost 2-1 to USA.
