THE Chairman of Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Makanjuola Ogundipe, has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) should apologise to his party and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over unsavoury comments made by leaders of the APC on Ekiti and Osun governorship polls.
Ogundipe said in Ado Ekiti, on Wednesday, that the APC as a party should also apologise to President Goodluck Jonathan, whom he described as “a fighter and supporter of credible polls.”
The Ekiti PDP boss who stated this while speaking with newsmen, said: “when the APC lost the election in Ekiti, its leaders resorted to wild allegations against INEC and the PDP but have now begun a different song.”
He said: “When the APC lost Ekiti governorship poll in a woeful manner, there was nothing ugly and bad that they did not say. An election that was adjudged credible, free and fair by local and international observers, was discredited by the APC leaders who levelled allegations that can never be substantiated.”
