A former Special Adviser on Security to former governor of Kwara State, Dr Bukola Saraki, who is now a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Yinka Aluko, has picked nomination form to contest Kwara Central senatorial seat in the 2015 general election.
Speaking with journalists after the exercise in Ilorin on Thursday, Alhaji Aluko pledged to use his wealth of experiences in various fields of endeavour to contribute his own quota to the socio-economic development of the people and that of the senatorial district.
Aluko said that he was neither intimidated by any of the three aspirants in the PDP nor that of any other party in the state.
“I am prepared to serve the people of the Kwara central senatorial district to add values to their socio well-being, because there is no doubt that, I possess all necessary exposures that will endear people of my senatorial district to vote for me.”

Aluko, who described the PDP as the most democratic parties in Nigeria and Africa, said that the party had created platform for all aspirants to seek any elective position in the party.
He said that the democratic nature of the party had encouraged many members to come out and seek elective positions in the forthcoming elections in the country.
“I enjoin all other people who are still outside PDP to come into the party in order to contribute their quota towards the development of Kwara and Nigeria in particular,” he said.
He also called on the people of the state to continue to support the PDP so as to assist the party to win the next year’s general election in the state.
