Shagari, Babalola, Amadi, Paulinus, others pick PDP forms ahead 2015

The rank of governorship aspirants under the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) swelled on Thursday, as aspirants from Rivers, Delta, Imo, Oyo, Ebonyi and Benue states stormed the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, to pick their expression of interest and nomination forms for the governorship seats of their respective states
The aspirants were Alhaji Mukhtari Shagari, deputy governor of Sokoto State, Honourable Bethel Amadi, a member of the House of Representatives and president of the African Parliament Union (Imo), Honourable Nimi Wilson-Jack (Rivers), Major Lancelot Ayaya retd (Rivers), Honourable Osaleye DenisOjuka (Rivers), Dr Sam Ortom, the immediate past Minister for Trade and Investment (Benue), Chief Hingah Biem, (Benue), Owolabi Babalola,( Oyo), Wilson-Jack (Rivers) and Oghenovo Imoyi Omene (Delta).

This came just a one-time Education Minister, Professor Tunde Adeniran, submitted returned his form for Ekiti North Senatorial District of Ekiti State and Honourable Ibrahim Shehu Gusau returned his form governorship seat of Zamfara State.
Professor Adeniran, accompanied to the party’s national secretariat to submit his form by his political associates, said he was in the race to dislodge the APC candidate in the Senate.
Also speaking with newsmen, the deputy governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Shagari declared that his relationship with the incumbent governor, Aliyu Wammako, remained cordial, despite the defection of the governor to APC.
Honourable Amadi vowed to dislodge the APC government in Imo State and restore good governance in the state for the people to enjoy dividends of democracy.
